I'm in a bit of a rush in this instance to entirely browse your blog but I have bookmarked it and also signed up for your RSS feeds. I will be back in a day or two. Thanks for a great site.

I'm not doubting what you say is true - but how can it be proven?

Hi Corinne-

Thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear about your shin splints. It would be best to email Danny directly with your question, danny@newtonrunning.com.

Cheers,

Am excited to find your website. I'll have to check out your shoes. I can't run on built up shoes any more - they feel like platforms. The other advantage to the "lift" is that you don't use your calf muscles. Your technology and approach seem like a good fit with ChiRunning. After learning to land mid foot and lift instead of push I ditched my orthotics that I had worn for almost 25 years (no, not the same pair!). As you suggest running barefoot is a great way to have people feel the error of their heel landing ways.

Hi Danny,

I've been running up here in the mountains in my Newtons. Unfortunately I have been experiencing shin splints. Do you have any recommendations on easing this? I normally run on the balls of my feet and have no problems, I think it's the downhill that is causing the damage.
