Newton Athlete Pam Reed Second at Badwater Ultramarathon

Stephen Gartside (our pres.) just sent us this update from Mt. Whitney, the finish line at the Badwater Ultramarathon.

“Pam got 7th place overall with a total time of 29 hours and 2 minutes.  Pam was the second place female behind Jamie Donaldson of Colorado.  Pam did awesome and ran strong the whole race.  I’ve been up for 37 hours.  Going to eat and going to bed.  The finish line is open until tomorrow afternoon, so many competitors will still be out on the course for many hours.  There are finishing pictures on the Badwater Adventure Corps web site.

Sun burned.  Ran a few miles too.  Great time and fun crew. Way to go Pam!

Stephen
