Newton Running’s president, Stephen Gartside is currently in Death Valley, working on the support crew for ultra-runner Pam Reed at the Badwater Ultramarathon. He just sent us these updates.
Pam Reed with her six crew members including Stephen Gartside (2nd from right) one hour before the start of the Badwater Ultra Marathon. Pam started the 135 mile race yesterday and will finish sometime today. Temperatures in Death Valley reached over 125 degrees.

We just got an update that Pam past the 100 mile marker in 20:32:05.
There are five of the 100 Badwater competitors wearing Newton shoes in the race.
