At last year’s Ironman World Championships in Kona, the team from Newton Running was on hand cheering on all of the athletes who worked so hard to get there – especially the ones wearing Newtons! At our booth we set up a guestbook of sorts, inviting all the Newton athletes to share their thoughts before the race.
We also did our best to get pictures of as many people running the race in Newtons as possible. The end result is Newton’s 2009 Kona Competitor book – 40 pages of photos and quotes capturing the spirit of the race and the determination of the athletes. We’ve sent out these books to everyone at the race who shared their contact info with us, but we still have a handful left.
If you’d like to have one of these books, please leave us a comment below or send a note to media@newtonrunning.com and we’ll send you one, while supplies last.
**NOTE: All books are now sent out, sorry if you missed out!**

Hi
Awesome idea and I would love to have a competitors book as I raced at Kona in my second pair of Distance Racers which I received the week of the race. I had no problem and shoes were great. I am now waiting for my third pair to use at Ironman South Africa. I am looking so forward to the run leg as my running times just keep tumbling the more I get use to my Newtons. I’ve been running with Newtons now for almost a year.
Thanks for a great shoe.
I would live to have a Kona book capturing the history of this amazing race!
This book look awesome ! I’m currently training for my first ever triathlon (still at the short distance) and I find those Ironman athlete to be so inspiring !

Fantastic! I would Love a copy of one of these books! Please!
I was at Kona 2009, wear newtons, and thought I signed the book. I haven’t received a copy. Would really, really like to get a copy of this book.
Please let me know if I can get a copy.
Thanks.

That would be great to get one if there are still some books left.
Thanks for creating such a great product. And here’s to much more success.
I bought my first pair of Newtons two weeks ago and LOVE them. I’m an avid triathlete and will be making a run to qualify for Kona 2012. I’d appreciate a copy of the new book.
Cheers
Ryan
Could I please have one of the books? I’ve been a Newton loyalist since Cali 70.3 2007. I’ve worn my Racer S’s in every triathlon since including the IM Campionships last year. I live in Denver and can pick up the book next time Im in boulder.
I would love to have one of the books.
I would love a book. I am a diehard fan of your shoes!
Hi, I would love to get one of the books , if you still have some available
Thanks!
Hugo
Is it a book or a pdf-document? I live in Germany and I really would like to have one of these !
Mail to grueneberg.j@hotmail.com
I bought my first pair of Newton just last week. I’m adjusting and correcting myself to run more efficient with it. I’m preparing for my first half ironman which is also my first triathlon. I’m inspired by the participants of Kona, I would love to get hold of a copy of the book to spire myself even more.
I wouldn’t have made it through the marathon in Kona without my Newtons and the great support from the Newton team on the course! It was awesome to share the experience of a lifetime with a company you can call family! Can’t wait to see the book!

Saw Crowie cross in a pair of Distance Racers. Did some research on Newtons. Bought a pair from a local store. Tweaked my running style a bit. Now I have PB’s in a 5K, 10K and an Olympic distance triathlon in my Newton’s! Thanks guys!
I would love to have a copy of the book! I love your shoes (purchased first pair at the Oceanside 1/2 Ironmnan in 2009.
