Josh Cox Wins Rocket City Marathon

This morning, Newton Running pro Josh Cox ran in the Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville, Alabama. He entered the race really just planning to go on a long training run with some tempo work along the way for good measure. Two hours and 21 minutes later, Josh was the first person to cross the finish line. I guess it’s hard to take the competitor out of the runner when it comes to race day.

Anyway, huge congrats to Josh who also claimed Newton Running’s first marathon victory with his win! Many more to come we’re sure.

Actually, Heather Fuhr was the OVERALL winner of the 2007 Bizz Johnson marathon in a time of 2:46. All the more impressive in that it is 100% offroad and at altitude. There were several of us there that day wearing Newtons. In fact, we took 3 of the top 6 spots overall.
