The crew at Newton sends a hearty congratulations to Pam Reed, who at age 48, ran a whopping 490 miles (490 times around the one-mile course) in six days in her Newtons at the Sri Chinmoy Self Transcendence Race. Amazingly, 490 miles was only good enough for second place.  The current female world record holder for the six day race, Dipali Cunningham, ran 513 miles – beating her old record by one mile. In the 10-day event, which also ended yesterday, Tenpayrale Madhupran logged 777 miles.  Impressive, most impressive!

We hope that Pam is at home relaxing right now…but somehow we doubt it – Pam rarely sits still for long. Read more about Pam’s achievement here.
