Over the past five months we’ve posted dozens of terrific and sometimes gushing testimonials from Newton Running fans from all over the world. Today, I stumbled across yet another Newton review that I thought hit the nail on the head in its honesty and accuracy. All the way from Singapore, trilife, a self-proclaimed “Midlifer making a comeback,” has a a very honest, first-hand account of learning to run in his Newton Motions.
Check out “Triathlon – A Singapore Perspective.”
This morning, Newton Running pro Josh Cox ran in the Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville, Alabama. He entered the race really just planning to go on a long training run with some tempo work along the way for good measure. Two hours and 21 minutes later, Josh was the first person to cross the finish line. I guess it’s hard to take the competitor out of the runner when it comes to race day.
Anyway, huge congrats to Josh who also claimed Newton Running’s first marathon victory with his win! Many more to come we’re sure.

Australian Tim Berkel, 24, claimed his maiden Ironman title at the Ironman Western Australia race last weekend and the excitement was certainly clear upon him crossing the line (look carefully and you’ll see his Newton Distance S shoes). Click here to read the story on Ironman.com
Tim also wrote a terrific race report. Read more below:

And here’s some footage from the race (complete with thrilling Pirates of the Caribbean music).
CBS Early Show Holiday Gifts, Dec. 4, 2008
Mike Roberts, senior editor at Outside Magazine, recommends the new Motion AW as a great holiday gift for runners.
Check it out! Right underneath Brit’s butt, there’s a shot of Will running through Central Park in some Newton Gravity trainers! Click the page to enlarge (Will Ferrell that is, not Britney’s backside).
It looks like he needs to work on his running form a bit, but we’re psyched to see him in our shoes. Will is a serious runner, who ran the 2003 Boston Marathon in 3:56. It looks like we might need a celebrity page for all the shots of famous folks in our shoes!
